TEAM VIEW

What your team's mix contains — and what it doesn't

A group that shares a preference is fast and comfortable, and blind in the same direction. The more useful output is usually the opposite: a preference nobody on the team holds is the thing nobody will raise by instinct.

NOT FOR HIRING, ASSIGNMENT, OR EVALUATION

This describes a mix of stated preferences. It does not measure capability, does not predict team performance, and there is no research supporting the use of four-letter types to select, assign, promote, or evaluate anyone. Used that way it is both unfair to individuals and a legal risk to an employer. Use it to start a conversation about how the group works, and nothing more.
